In 1999 Wayne Farrell came about this unique idea of taking
everybody's favourite drink to where they were... |
Soon his insight became a recipe for success. The press had
a yearly competition to find Durban's best coffee
experience |
| |
|
|
So he imported a La Pavoni coffee machine and mounted it on the back
of a converted Vespa 3-wheeler, got hold of the best Mauro coffee he
could find, practised his technique, and voila! - Italy's best
coffee went mobile |
From more than 130 outlets in Durban, Caffé Pronto regularly featured in the top 3 every year. That was just the beginning... |
| |
|
| And so wherever Wayne went, coffee-lovers consumed cappuccinos!
At the park, at the game, at the show and at exhibitions! But
more was to come.... |
Since then Wayne has won the prestigious "Small Business
Entrepreneur" award and Caffé Pronto also won "Franchise Of The
Year" - both worthy recognitions in the face of competition |

|
So popular is Caffé Pronto that business opportunists seized the
moment to order their own Pronto Van. This led Wayne to start a
franchise chain with units not only in Durban, but in most major
centres in South Africa |
The popularity of Caffé Pronto Franchises has led to the redevelopment
of our mobile Caffé Pronto units and our range now includes our Pronto
Trailer, Pronto Cart and the Pronto Bar |
| |
|
|
Subsequently Wayne secured sole importing and distributorship
contracts for La Pavoni products and Caffe Mauro coffees
for Southern Africa... and the franchise was complete |
